While Paden City first introduced the detailed Black Forest etch back in the 1920s, these emerald green goblets are a later revival by L.G. Wright. Wright recreated the classic forest scene artwork and paired it with a distinctive Daisy & Button/Cube stem—a dead giveaway that tells you it’s not a 1920s original!

Did you know Pink Daisy (1956) was one of the very first printed screen patterns EVER made by Pyrex? Before this, it was strictly solid colors!
This 1.5-quart divided dish was the ultimate 1950s mid-century multitasker—baked two sides at once, and the lid was even designed to keep steam from mixing flavors.

Country Festival is one of Corning’s most recognizably 1970s folk-art patterns. The decoration centers on two stylized blue birds facing one another, surrounded by symmetrical flowers, leaves and scrolling botanical forms. Contemporary descriptions characterize it as folk-art inspired. American interiors during the late 1960s and 1970s experienced a major revival of country, colonial, Early American and handcrafted aesthetics. Consumers embraced quilts, patchwork, macramé, crewel embroidery, rustic furniture, earth colors, mushrooms, florals and stylized folk motifs.

Country Festival translates that aesthetic onto what was actually an extremely modern material.

In the 1930s, the McKee Glass Company became one of the primary pioneers of opaque green glassware, marketing their line under the trade name “JAD-ITE.” During the Great Depression, McKee produced these small, round, flat-lidded containers specifically for home refrigeration. Because early electric refrigerators and iceboxes had limited shelf space, the recessed lid design allowed home cooks to safely stack multiple dishes on top of one another.

This is the Indiana Glass Pagoda Fairy Lamp, produced during the 1970s and 1980s when fairy lamps made a comeback in American homes. Although inspired by Victorian candle lamps from the 1800s, Indiana Glass gave this version an Asian-inspired pagoda roof that reflected one of the biggest decorating trends of the era. Many were sold through Tiara Exclusives home parties, where collectors could purchase them in a variety of colors to match their décor. This satin finish wasn’t painted—it was created by acid etching the glass, giving it a soft, velvety surface that beautifully diffuses candlelight. Today these fairy lamps remain favorites with collectors because they combine American pressed-glass craftsmanship, nostalgic design, and timeless decorative appeal.
