As I sit here sipping my coffee on my day off, avoiding laundry and pretending I’m “resting,” I started reflecting on the last 9 months at The Yellow Daffodil 🌼🪿🍄

We opened on August 15th with equal parts excitement, nervousness, and “well… let’s just see what happens.” Honestly, we had no clue what to expect. Turns out, running a thrift shop means constantly learning, rearranging furniture 47 times a week, and becoming emotionally attached to random vintage items.

But somehow through all the trial & error… we’re still here, still growing, and still having SO much fun!

One thing that absolutely cracks me up is seeing what everyone buys. One person walks out with a classy vintage lamp, another leaves carrying a ceramic goose, three floral mugs, a mysterious brass object, and a painting of a cow wearing glasses. And honestly? We support all of it. You all have proven over and over that The Yellow Daffodil truly has SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

In these 9 months, we’ve gained amazing customers, sweet friendships, loyal thrifters, and enough stories to write a book someday 😂 Oh I’ll be telling all the secrets LOL

Thank you for supporting our little dream, for shopping small, and for loving quirky old treasures as much as we do. Southside welcomed us with open arms, and we are so proud to be part of this wonderful community 💛

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to finish my coffee and probably think about thrift shop inventory anyway ☕🌼🍄🪿
