I spent years feeling out of step, like everyone was better at life than me and they probably were 😁.

Finding out I had ADHD means I make more sense to myself and honestly I think there are a lot of us in yachting because it's a career we can excell at.

The kid who couldn't sit still, the kid who talked too much, the kid that was daydreaming, staring out the window, interrupting conversations with enthusiasm. It all made me feel like a problem.

I met so many like minded people in yachting with the same story and I think it's a career that probably attracts us, we are moving all the time, every day is different, we have so many opportunities to be social and we are not holed up at a desk.

And what a beautiful community I get to be part of.

I know it can feel like a mine field and it's actually one of the reasons I started Nautilus.

Years of working in the design field mean I'm very comfortable with different artwork files and even I found that when ordering uniform a lot of places over complicated the artwork process.

I hope this helps somebody, if you are stuck though on knowing what files you may or may not have, reach out and we are happy to guide you in the right direction.

I really wasn't sure about posting this one, I try give the curated Instagram image of an unflappable business woman but the reality is I have an anxiety disorder that if I don't stay on top of, the wheels come off.

There are other things I do now that I'm land based and have a more predictable schedule but these are things that helped that are accessible while living on board.

This is just my experience but maybe one or two things could help someone else. If you have something that has helped comment below.

Remember there are resources out there now that weren't around when I was on board, I'll tag a couple below reach out if you are struggling and tag any helpful organizations that I have missed.
