“‘All she does is talk about God.’”

Yeah… because when everything else fell apart,
He was the one who stayed.

Grew up in church, believed with that childlike faith, soaked in the songs and sermons.

But in my young adult years, I drifted away.
Life got busy, the world pulled me in, and faith slipped to the background.

Then things started getting darker.
Work stress, family drama, life pressures, constant anxiety—it all built up.

My own thoughts turned against me, loud and overwhelming.
Nights felt heavy. I was stuck in my head, drowning in worries I couldn’t shake.

He met me right there.
Not when I had it together.
Not in a perfect moment.

So yeah, I talk about God a lot.

Because He didn’t just save my soul back then—
He pulled me out of my own head this time.
He gave me peace when anxiety was winning.
He became my anchor.

When you’ve been lost in the dark and pulled back into the light…

you don’t stay quiet about it. 🤍

🌿 Psalm 1: Leaving Survival Mode for Rooted, Fruitful Life 🌿

Hey friends, real talk-I’ve been in full survival mode: winging it as a wife and mom, reacting to chaos, distracted by social media and endless to-dos. Feeling like chaff in the wind. But Psalm 1 wrecked me in the best way.

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” (Psalm 1:1-3 ESV)

In ancient Israel, water was rare and precious-dry land meant death. So being “planted by streams” meant deep roots in a constant, life-giving source (the Holy Spirit through God’s Word!). No more scrambling or getting blown away. The wicked are like chaff-ungrounded, reactive, gone with the breeze.

This hits survival mode head-on:
• Swap morning scrolling for 5 quiet minutes in Scripture first-phone silenced. It brings peace and structure to the home chaos. Or- just sit with Him-pray to him.
• When distractions pull, choose to delight in His law. Seeking the spirit in however you need to day and night-not perfectly, just consistently. Roots go deep, fruit shows up even in hard seasons. Remained disciplined

The Lord watches over the righteous path (v. 6). We can trade reacting for thriving.

Let’s chat about something real today.

We all have those people, right? The one at work who grates on your nerves, the neighbor you avoid eye contact with, or that family member (or ex) who just… ugh. It’s easy to let that dislike turn into full-on loathing. We justify it— “They deserve it,” “They’re impossible,” “They hurt me too much.”

But can we pause for a second and really evaluate that? Is it truly necessary to carry that heavy burden of hate in our hearts?

God made every single one of us—yes, even them—fearfully and wonderfully. As Psalm 139:14 says: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

That verse isn’t just about you and me. It’s about every person He knit together in the womb. They might drive you crazy, but God sees the beauty in their creation, the same way He sees it in yours. We’re all His handiwork, flawed and in need of grace.

And here’s where it hits home: Ephesians 4:32 reminds us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Kind. Compassionate. Forgiving. Not because they earned it, but because God forgave us when we didn’t deserve it either.

So next time that irritation bubbles up, take a breath. Pray for them (even if it’s through gritted teeth at first). Remember they’re fearfully and wonderfully made too. It doesn’t mean you have to be besties, but it does mean letting go of the loathing and choosing kindness instead.

God’s grace is big enough for all of us— including the hard ones.

What about you? Ever had to choose kindness toward someone tough? I’d love to hear how God helped you through it. 🩷🙏

Happy New Year, friends! 🎉

It’s January 1st, and I’m sitting here reflecting on how different this day feels now compared to years past.

I used to treat New Year’s like I needed some huge, dramatic breakthrough to make the year “count.” Big resolutions, massive life changes, waiting for that one miraculous moment to turn everything around.

But God has gently shown me something so much better: a good year isn’t made by one giant leap. It’s built in the quiet, ordinary days—the struggles, the waiting, the choosing to trust Him one step at a time.

I’ve been thinking about Ruth a lot lately. She didn’t start with a grand plan or a spotlight. She was a widow from a foreign land, grieving, uncertain, with no idea what was ahead. All she did was stay loyal, work faithfully in the fields, and put her trust in a God she was just beginning to know.

And because of that simple, daily faithfulness? God wove her right into the bloodline of Jesus—the greatest story ever told.

Y’all, that’s us too. We don’t have to wait for a perfect moment or a dramatic sign. We just keep showing up, keep trusting Him in the everyday mess and beauty, keep letting His Word guide our steps.

He’s writing a story with your life that’s bigger than you can see right now. Trust the process. Trust the day-by-day. He’s faithful, and He won’t lead you wrong.

Here’s to a year of quiet obedience and beautiful surprises only God can do. 💙
