Have you ever wondered when and where the first women’s hat was made?

There isn’t one officially documented “first” women’s hat because head coverings existed long before written history. However, some of the earliest known images of women wearing hat-like head coverings appear in ancient cave paintings from Tassili, Algeria, dating from approximately 8,000 to 4,000 B.C.! (encyclopedia.comâ ïżŒ)

By around 1600 B.C., women in ancient Crete were pictured wearing stylish shaped hats—including beret-like, pointed and decorated designs. It seems women have been expressing their personality through their headwear for thousands of years!

We loved seeing our fellow vendor and talented guitarist, Mr. Thomas, rocking his one-of-a-kind custom gambler & ready to rock, indeed!

We also welcomed Mr. Wayne and Ms. Deborah, who drove all the way from Bonifay to have his measurements taken and place an order for a custom handmade beaver cowboy hat. We truly appreciate you both taking all that time to do so. We can’t wait to bring his vision to life! Debra Durden
