REEL LADIES 2nd Annual Blue Crab Cook-Off and Crab Races
Our crab racing adventure was pure comedy from start to finish! 🦀🤣 Katie made the perfect birthday crab — crowned, celebrated, and somehow still trying to outrun the competition — while Queen of KODY 35, Crab Queen Jennifer, kept the royal crab chaos under control… or at least tried to! Between the cheering, laughing, crab escapes, and everybody acting like they had money on the race, it was truly one of those hilarious Reel Ladies memories we will be talking about all year. So much fun had by all! 👑🦀🎂

The Reel Ladies’ mission is rooted in faith, friendship, and a shared love for the water — empowering, encouraging, and educating women and children through fishing, conservation, and community service. Through free Reel Kids fishing clinics, the Ms. Reel Lady program, the Spanish Mackerel Tournament benefiting Anchorage Children’s Home, and mission efforts in Costa Rica providing fishing equipment, school supplies, games, and books, the Reel Ladies continue to turn their passion into purpose. These events also help promote the importance of limiting screen time and encouraging more outdoor experiences, where children can learn, explore, build confidence, enjoy God’s creation, and create lasting memories with family, friends, and community.

Chef meeting in the kitchen was pure crab-cookoff chaos — hats on, aprons tied, everyone swapping last-minute “professional” presentation tips like we were about to film a Food Network special! 🤣 Between the laughs, the taste-testing, the nervous excitement, and everybody acting like five-star chefs for the judges, it was clear this kitchen was seasoned with friendship, fun, and just the right amount of crabby competition! 🦀👩‍🍳
