A New Chapter

We posted this like SUPER late (or absurdly early, depending on when you look at it) this morning, so here it is again for those who might have missed it!

This month will look a bit different than our usual line-up!

For starters, there will NOT be a Game Night this month. Normally, our pattern would have Game Nights on the 6th and 20th; on the 6th, the majority of downtown parking will be unavailable due to the TN River Jam's Downtown Concert. We will be open that day despite street closures starting Friday at 9pm, but as we don't want to force folks to fight the crowds or the parking difficulties, we're just not going to bother with Game Night on top of everything else- go enjoy the FREE music instead and hit up a food truck while you're at it! And of course, on the 20th, we'll be on Vacation.

That's right, the big Boss (me) decided that we've (also me) earned a short break after a whole year of hard work. We would apologize for the inconvenience, but we're honestly not sorry. That smiling, happy face y'all see every day? She needs a recharge. Mental health is a very important to keep in mind when running a business, and we can't function at our best if our Proprietress (me again!) is running ragged, so she's getting sent out into the woods for a few days of sun and fun.

(For real though, I'm super excited about this little break, and I can't WAIT to see some old friends again.)

Prior to the Vacation, we'll have two lovely events to check out!

When we return from our little adventure into wonderland, we're kicking things off with our Quarterly Clearance Sale, and this time it's going to go ALL WEEK LONG. 23th-26th from 10am-5pm we'll have tables set up and positively LOADED with Paperbacks. Please note that Pop-Up Sales are the ONLY Event that we can currently host during Open Hours; all other events will be scheduled between 5pm and Midnight Tuesday-Saturday, or 1pm-Midnight Sundays and Mondays.

LAST CHANCE to get on our June Calendar of Events!

We're looking for:

Small Business Vendors who want to set up a table for a Pop-Up during open hours (Tues-Sat 10a-4p, set up from 9-10a; breakdown from 4-5p). No cost to you, just let us know when you want to set up and give us a flier to post about it!

Dungeon/Game Masters for One-Shots (single session please!) or Campaigns; open to ANY TTRPG- Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, D&D, Shadowrun, Homebrews; whatever your flavor, get your night scheduled and we'll find your players! All TTRPG events are done FREE, all DMs volunteer. We allow snacks and drinks! Sundays and Mondays can be scheduled from 10am-Midnight; Tuesday-Saturday we can schedule from 5pm-Midnight.

Other scheduling options are for private events- if you want to come play one of our Murder Mystery Boxes, Escape Games (card games, not full Escape Rooms), or drag the family out to use our selection of board games, we'll do that too!

We will be finalizing our Calendar by midnight on the 31st, so be sure to get on it! If you missed out on getting on June's calendar, chat with us about July instead! The sooner you pick your dates, the more there will be available!

9 of 26 shelves Weeded and Repriced.

Totally not kidding when I say this stuff takes forever, but I'm entirely too wary of missing something to get help with it. @

Still needing Banana Boxes! And some Small sized Lowes boxes, if anyone has some sitting around from a move or whatever. Uniform sized boxes stack more efficiently and take up less space in our limited storage area, and those specific two kinds can pack all of our current sizes in a neat and tidy fashion that we just love. xD

We're also still needing pennies- if you have a jar of 'em sitting around, bring them in and we'll trade you for less cumbersome bills!

We've had an influx of new folks on the page, so here's a quick refresh on our Trade Credit policy! For a more detailed explanation, come visit- we have printouts!

For anyone who might need a refresh, or for those new to us who maybe don't know yet, here's a quick look at our Trade Credit program!

We do occasionally offer store credit for more than just the listed items- like right now we're looking for donations of Halloween Decorations to add to our holiday decorating options! You can also earn a $5 Credit for posting a review to our Facebook or Google pages!

We are also currently offering TRIPLE credit (that's 3x the usual given amounts!) for specifically: Manga, Comics, Puzzles, and Fiction published in the last 10 years.

Trade Credit cannot be used in the purchase of New Merchandise (such as our Bookmarks, Earrings, Mugs, or Crocheted Critters), or for certain Sales.

We've been hard at work, weeding and repricing our inventory! First picture is how far we've gotten, second is what we hope to get done today (it takes longer than you'd think!!). Once we get done, we have a BUNCH of new stock to get put out- so be watching for the LIVE when we go about that task!
