Salad using my home grown lettuce…. First year I planted any. My cucumbers are coming in full force. I canned 7 pints of dill pickles. I’m anxious to try one and see if I like this recipe. (One jar cracked in the water bath darn)

The easiest, neatest way to make bacon: cut package of bacon in half (I do four packages from Costco at once). Pull slices apart and place in pot. Heat on high, stirring as needed. The fat in the bacon melts into the pot, and the bacon basically deep-fries. Delicious—and no spatters at all!
