1. Ace Hardware (Ellenton)..National Guard with water, tarps, MREs

2. Myakka City Community Center: Boxed Water

3. Bethany Baptist Church: Boxed Water

4. Parrish Methodist Church: State of Florida and National Guard providing water and MREs.

5. Cajun Navy Group (Lowe's Parking Lot): hot meals, volunteers doing clean up, IVs for dehydrated people, water. Delivery available to those who cant get out. Donations being taken here of cleaning supplies, debris clean up products, clothing.

6. Duette Fire Dept: Boxed Water

I will update as I am advised of more sites and more services at each site.

Another custom bag completed for a dear friend!! Who else has a custom request, I’ve got some beautiful fabrics available and ready to be transformed. I’m also expecting new colors of waterproof canvas to arrive Monday, to line the bags. Waterproof canvas will help protect the interior and allow you to easily wipe them out, keeping them clean.⭐️👜 💼 🎀🧵🪡💛

LIES‼️ I’ve purchased 2 brand new computerized sewing machines in the past 2 years- nothing but “problems”, skipped stitches, thread breaks, inability to handle heavier weight thread or stitch cleanly through heavier/multiple layers of fabric. I thought an Industrial machine was necessary, but that’s $1200⬆️ 🤦🏻‍♀️😫. I took a chance last weekend and purchased a vintage 1951 Singer 401A in pretty rough shape and named her Jessica. With the help of You Tube and many hours spent disassembling, cleaning and rebuilding, she’s sewing beautifully⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️You don’t need a new fancy machine, you need a machine that was built to last with metal or cast iron gears, probably manufactured before you were born, just like your grandmother relied on. I now welcome Lauren, my new vintage Singer 438K (still trying to find her DOB😂). NOW I can make & sew & spend less time fighting & struggling with a new plastic, unreliable, computerized machine. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 My vintage machines are named after 2 of my favorite sewists.

Question- how many of you know or use NFC tags/chips? Do you know what they are and what they do?? If not- read below- because I’m taking this NFC technology into Dani Lynn Design shop products, adding to pet tags & collars. I’m still perfecting- but if you are interested, I can share more!

Near-field communication (NFC) is a set of communication protocols for communication between two electronic devices over a distance of 4 cm (11⁄2 in) or less.[1] NFC offers a low-speed connection with simple setup that can be used to bootstrap more-capable wireless connections.[2]

NFC devices can act as electronic identity documents and keycards.[2] They are used in contactless payment systems and allow mobile payment replacing or supplementing systems such as credit cards and electronic ticket smart cards. This is sometimes called NFC/CTLS or CTLS NFC, with contactless abbreviated CTLS. NFC can be used for sharing small files such as contacts, and bootstrapping fast connections to share larger media such as photos, videos, and other files.[3]
