My wife just gave birth to my beautiful boy Rafael. He was born while the country was protesting , while the people marched on archaic practices, born while the country was asked where they stand when it come to “the other” “the marginalized”. A question that has been looming since the inception of America and whose cry has grown louder and louder. Whose groan could no longer be silenced. There was a poem from Martin Niemoller that hung in my sisters house and I changed some words.

Just watched this beautiful documentary about the American dream through the story of Felipe Lopez. It ends with the people from the documentary sharing their heritage and testimony of how they made it this beautiful country. Felipe was claimed to be the Dominican Jordan, but at the end he was Felipe Lopez the first and a major player in impacting his people for good.. must watch !
