On the way to the pool today, my children came up with this analogy.

Your life is like the pool. When you are a kid, you cautiously dip your toe in at first. You get comfortable and then it’s time for school to start up again. As an adult, you become the lifeguards and you watch out for the kids in the pool. When you retire, you return to the pool for fun and exercise. When you die, you join God in the big pool of heaven.

I thought that was pretty deep for a 12 and 9 year old.

Yesterday, I cleaned out my son’s closet to find some longer pants in storage and pass on some outgrown clothes. His outgrown T-shirts and some from friends are getting cut today to make into rugs. If you are cleaning out this weekend, too, I am always happy to regime some of your old clothing, too.
