SCOOPS ice Cream shop was where so many great things happened. Young people were taught a work ethic, families shared special occasions, people from all generations met for a treat or a cup of coffee. I’m thankful Chris and Maria made that happen. I personally remember having a tough day and Chris joining me for an impromptu counseling session in that back room. The back room where one was surrounded by hand prints on the walls where birthday celebrations occurred, including my daughter’s. He started out with “Whoa, what’s going on here?” and then proceeded to bring calmness and rationality into my life experience that afternoon. Chris did that alot me thinks. I miss him. Lift your mug this morning: “Cheers” to one of the best businesses ever produced in Payson and the Higgins family.
