✨ Let’s Talk ChatGPT & AI-Generated Designs! ✨

We know a lot of our customers are using ChatGPT and other AI tools to help bring their design ideas to life, so we wanted to share a few helpful things to keep in mind before submitting AI-generated artwork to us!

First, we have a bit of a love/hate relationship with ChatGPT when it comes to design. 😂 It can be an amazing tool for inspiration and creating a starting point, but it isn’t professional design software. In most cases, AI-generated artwork still requires some redesigning, editing, cleanup, or rebuilding on our end before it’s truly print-ready.

The more detailed or intricate the design, the more difficult it can be to recreate or clean up. We can usually get pretty close to what you’re envisioning, but please understand that the finished design may not be an exact match to the AI-generated image.

Now, an especially important note for our Gang Sheet Builder customers:

We’ve recently noticed that background removal on AI-generated images can be very inconsistent. Many files that look like they have a perfectly transparent background actually have a faint haze, shadow, or leftover pixels surrounding the artwork.

Unfortunately, this can be extremely difficult to see on a computer or phone screen — but it WILL show up when the image is printed.

Because this haze is part of the actual file being submitted, it isn’t a printer issue and isn’t something we can control during printing.

If you’re using AI-generated artwork in our Gang Sheet Builder, we highly recommend:

• Running your image through a separate background-removal program
• Zooming in closely and checking all edges for haze or leftover background
• Making sure your file is truly transparent and print-ready before submitting your gang sheet

Please remember that gang sheets are printed from the files you submit. We cannot be responsible for unwanted backgrounds, haze, image quality, or other artwork issues contained within customer-submitted files.

We LOVE that these tools make designing more accessible, and we’re always happy to help where we can! We just want everyone to know what to look for so your finished prints turn out as great as possible. ❤️
