There’s something special about seeing a quilt reach the quilting stage.

A few weeks ago, this was just a stack of fabric and an idea. Then came the cutting, piecing, pressing, trimming, and all the little decisions that happen along the way.

Now it's on the longarm, and with every pass of the needle, the design comes to life a little more.

One of my favorite parts of quilting is watching separate pieces become something beautiful together. It’s a good reminder that progress often happens one stitch at a time.

I'm currently calling it Wildflower Morning. What do you think of the name?

📦 New fabric arrived today... and I may be a little excited.

One of my favorite parts of running A Ribbon Run Thru It is selecting fabrics that work beautifully together. These new arrivals will expand the color options in the shop and open the door to even more bundle combinations and project inspiration.
As I opened each box, I found myself imagining future quilts, table runners, and all the creative possibilities these fabrics will bring.
I can't wait to get everything photographed and added to the shop so I can share more with you soon.

A quilt always starts with a pile of fabric, a rotary cutter, and a vision of what it might become.

I've been working on my focal quilt for an upcoming show, and it's finally reaching the stage where the design starts revealing itself. There's something magical about watching individual pieces become blocks, and blocks become a quilt.

One cut, one seam, one block at a time. 💕🧵

One of my favorite things about quilting is watching a project come together piece by piece.

What starts as a stack of fabric becomes units, then blocks, then suddenly there's a finished runner on the table.

This one features rich purple, soft cream, cheerful yellow, and a bold floral that absolutely makes me smile.

Sometimes the magic is in the process. 💛

How do you organize your quilt pieces while you sew? ✂️

I’m cutting pieces for a new quilt project and trying to stay organized before this one really gets underway. There’s something so satisfying about watching fabric choices slowly turn into a quilt.

Sometimes the little things make the biggest difference in quilting ✂️

Carefully pressed seams help blocks line up more accurately, reduce bulk, and give your finished quilt a cleaner, more polished look.

It may feel like a small step in the moment… but good pressing can completely change the final result.

Honestly? This is one of those quiet quilting habits that makes everything come together a little better. 💛
