This was a FIRST for me.

I’ve painted landscapes, animals, skies, water, and all sorts of things over the years, but I’ve never seriously attempted a face. Honestly, it always felt way outside my skill level.

There were several stages of this painting where I was convinced I had completely ruined it.
This piece became an exercise in trusting the process and continuing anyway.

I’m glad I did.
