👣 WALKING-BACK WEDNESDAY 👣
Today, we’re walking back to where the Sherman Brothers story began. ❤️👞
In 1953, brothers Herbert and Edwin Sherman opened a small storefront on Mole Street in Center City Philadelphia with a $5,000 loan from their father, Benjamin.
They’d remove the back seat from their DeSoto, drive seven hours to New England, and return with a car packed with shoes from brands like Alden, FootJoy, Bates and Walk-Over. 🚗👞
Along the way, they built a reputation for something that still defines Sherman Brothers today: helping customers find the right fit when they couldn’t find it anywhere else.
Their younger brother Martin joined them at just 12, eventually becoming the third “Sherman Brother.”
More than 70 years later, that family legacy continues as we take our next steps in Ardmore.
Same family. Same exceptional service. Since 1953. ❤️
