REAL TALK / The Online Brand Survival Guide event took place at MADE INSTITUTE.

I had the honor of being a guest speaker with Leo Voloshin of Print Fresh. Victoria Wright was our brilliant moderator.

We discussed what actually sustains a direct-to-consumer brand beyond aesthetics and social media.

Running an independent brand online is more complex than it seems. Customer retention.
Production margins. Conversion rates. Messaging.
Systems.

At our “Real Talk: The Online Brand Survival Guide” event, we had open discussions about what actually sustains a direct-to-consumer brand beyond aesthetics and social media.

If you’re building (or planning to build) an independent label, this conversation was for you.

Leo and I got REAL & had an honest conversation with all those who attended. We both enjoyed it as much as our audience!

FASHCON / Fashion Conference on April 8, 2026

I’m excited to share that I’ll be speaking on the Sales Panel at FashCon (2nd Annual Fashion Conference) this year!

The all-day event is on Wednesday April 8th from 8-5pm at The Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia.

As the owner of BUS STOP, I’ve spent 18+ years navigating the ever-changing world of retail, learning what it really takes to connect with customers, build lasting relationships, and drive meaningful sales both in-store and beyond.

At FashCon, I will be diving into real, practical insights on:
✨ What’s actually working in retail sales today
✨ How to create a customer experience that converts
✨ Balancing creativity with profitability

This is going to be an amazing day of education, resources, and networking with Philadelphia’s fashion industry—you won’t want to miss it. Be sure to purchase your tickets (see link below)!

I am looking forward to connecting with fellow founders, creatives, and industry leaders who are passionate about growing and evolving in this space.

If you’ll be there, come say hello! I would love to meet you!

Be sure to Secure Your Spot as seats are limited!

Want to know more on how to transition from a brick + mortar to an online boutique? Join me on 3/27 at Made Institute. I’m a guest panel speaker. It will be a fun night with drinks & a DJ. It’s FREE to attend, just make sure you RSVP https://www.eventbrite.com/e/real-talk-the-online-brand-survival-guide-tickets-1983979458969?utm_experiment=test_share_listing&aff=ebdsshios

Most independent brands don’t struggle because of design. They struggle because they never build a real relationship with their customer.

This conversation breaks down what it actually takes to sell direct-to-consumer:
– Where sales really come from
– What loyalty looks like without a storefront
– The hidden costs of e-commerce
– What new brands consistently get wrong

No hype. No “get rich on Shopify.” Just real numbers, real strategy, and practical insights for independent brands ready to build something sustainable.
