All items are handcrafted within the US by individual artists or small production studios. Art Star, owned by Megan Brewster and Erin Waxman, represents working studio artists and crafters from the Philadelphia area and beyond. We have a retail shop at The Independence Visitor Center (North End) in Old City. We stock a curated selection of handmade goods and gifts at both locations. Customers can
find items like cards, baby goods, jewelry, art prints, pottery, candles, accessories, clothing, and so much more. In addition to our retail shop, we host a number of events throughout the year; the largest and longest running being our Spring Art Star Craft Bazaar at Penn's Landing Great Plaza every Mother's Day Weekend. Additionally, we host an annual Holiday Art Star Craft Bazaar and small shows called Art Star Pop Up Markets held at Spruce Street Harbor Park, Cherry Street Pier, and 2nd Street Festival. We recently teamed up with Fishtown Co., Farm To City Farmer's Market, International Bar, and Evil Genius Brewing Co. to create North Front Street Festival. Our goal is to offer customers a wide range of affordable and quality handmade goods and to, in turn, support and maintain a thriving handmade community.
