The mission of Modern Misfits Art & Fashion Collaborative is to create an atmosphere that accepts and encourages individuality in fashion and art. As a team, we can provide a culturally inspired outlet that celebrates identity and brings artists and fashion enthusiasts to their fullest potential. Those involved are encouraged to participate in any way possible and with as much time and energy as t
hey feel comfortable. They are encouraged to experiment with ideas and concepts they may not otherwise have an outlet to express. With their contribution of ideas, art, clothing, and time, they are welcome to be part of the team. As a contributor these creative people have the opportunity to promote their individual art forms and endeavors in a place they took part in creating. The goal is to create a positive place for artists and supporters by using their passions for creativity and a desire to create a new atmosphere for acceptance. We would like to reach a broad demographic in order to change the socially standardize way we see communication and working together in the art and fashion world. If we can inspire young people to collaborate instead of feeling a sense of competition, we can alter the negative side of the art world and allow them to feel more comfort in finding their identity as an individual. We would like to provide an outlet for them to work and learn the ins and outs of the art world as well as give them a social atmosphere to thrive and promote themselves in.
