Today officially marks two full years of our doors being open here in Kensington. Crazy.

No big party or anything today. But we got some lil give aways in the shop this weekend for everyone.

If the vibes is right maybe we can shotgun a wynk and you can throw a lil treat into King Tubby’s mouth like a baby Seal.

Thanks to any of yall that have ever made the trip up here, or told a friend, or brought a friend, or liked/shared a post, Or left a scathing review on Google. All of it, THANK YOU.

Out of 500 reader submissions, we were selected by The New York Times as one of just 25 independent retail shops from across the country to be recognized by their panel of journalists.

There are people to thank, and a lot more to say about our first two years here in the Kensington Shopping District™️.

We’d like to introduce you all to Dylan Pritchard, aka dylan.

Beneath the shop floor, a full cut-and-sew design studio is taking shape. It’ll be home to Dylan’s work and the development of future collections.

Dylan is the son of a welder, raised in a home where hard work was expected and artistic expression was encouraged. It’s proven to be powerful combination, and one that’s immediately evident in their work.

Years spent drawing, making music, studying textiles, and mastering garment construction have shaped Dylan into an exceptional designer and craftsman.

A 2022 fashion design graduate, Dylan builds every piece from the ground up. Material selection, pattern making, sewing, and construction are all part of the process. The work is rooted in technical skill, guided by curiosity, and informed by an ever-evolving frame of reference.

We’re very proud to welcome Dylan—and their self-built cut-and-sew studio—as part of the next chapter at DRATS. The basement will serve as the home base for Dylan’s third collection, scheduled for an Autumn ’26 release under the ENTREM label.

Along the way, you can expect collaborations between Dylan and DRATS.

We already have a few in the chamber.

We’ve been loading up on shorts for at least six months waiting for that first weekend when pants simply are not an option.

Well… here we are.

150+ pairs on the floor right now.

Camos. Cargos (the good ones). Jorts. A ton of great bathing suits. Leisure shorts. Hiking shorts. Extra-long LA Apparel cut-off sweats. Custom double-pleated “dress” shorts. Some classic prep Madras shorts. Plenty of Baggies. And yes, even a couple pairs of tiny shorts for the lads who like to show off their slutty little knees.

We’re running this all weekend.
