It’s Saturday, for many, the reward for getting through another week of work, kids, school.
I’m admittedly a bit of a home body when I’m not working. Every once in awhile however, I simply crave some vitamin D, some time in the world without an agenda or schedule.
Typically, that moment for me, comes when I realize there is nothing to eat and I talk myself into going grocery shopping. I tell myself, if you go to Winco, there’s a Goodwill in the same parking lot. It never hurts to just look. I mean, you took a shower and put on clean clothes, why waste it on a 30 minute trip?
It’s the same every time, I spend an hour poking around the thrift store, walk to my car, look at all the cars in the Winco parking lot, and say uh uh. I’ll eat cereal.
If you’re anything like me, needing a quick trip out, and not sure what to do, take my advice, go ‘grocery shopping’ today.
Here we go again - thrift is open from 9-5 and they have a number of great things at fantastically low prices.
Stop in and say hello. Teresa will gladly make you a cup of coffee and even some fresh popcorn to enjoy while you shop.
I don’t believe you’ll find that kind of hospitality anywhere else.
