🎨 THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers from State Farm and Desert Financial Credit Union
who joined us to paint a beautiful new mural at Osborn Pointe!

Osborn Pointe serves individuals experiencing housing instability age 55+, with special programming for veterans and individuals overcoming domestic violence. This new mural will fill the space with vibrant color and energy; residents are excited to see the finished piece!

✨ Veteran Mural Project – November 14, 2025 ✨

Last November, I had the honor of creating a mural in collaboration with Native Connection, The Home Depot Foundation, and Helping Hands Foundation. This piece was painted on the side of the Native Connection building and is dedicated to Native American veterans.

This mural means a lot to me, not just artistically, but personally. I had the chance to work side-by-side with my grandfather, who inspired and helped bring this project to life. Sharing this creative journey with him was a powerful and emotional experience.
The volunteer event was incredible, and I’m beyond grateful for everyone who played a key role in making it happen. From the design process to the final brushstrokes, every moment was filled with meaning.
Thank you again to Native Connection for trusting me with this beautiful opportunity.

Title: Purity | Created in 2017 during a difficult period in my life. This piece represents my struggle with depression, my fight to stay positive, and the outlet that drawing became for me. The cross at the center symbolizes my faith and reason for living, surrounded by my passions and everything I love. The halo crown at the bottom right represents ‘dead royalty,’ honoring my Christian beliefs. Encircling it all is evil, symbolizing the world and the emotional turmoil I was facing.

- the Yazzie bandanna from my Culture Collection. This design weaves together my journey with threads of graffiti art, familial love, and faith. The ‘Yazzie’ tag, born in the boredom of high school, meets the skull-headed dove, a symbol of my brother’s enduring spirit and our shared struggles. Accented with touches of the Southwest and my Christian beliefs, this bandanna also features the roll of snake eyes, a nod to the chances life throws at us. Every corner tells a story of what shaped me.

Here’s an important project close to our hearts: the Growth and Art Workshop. This initiative not only aims to provide workshops for young people, but also includes a mental health component, drawing on lessons I learned in prison to share wisdom and support. By offering young teens and adults the opportunity to thrive through art, develop skills and foster mental wellbeing, we’re shaping a better future for all generations.
