I made my tallest mac stack yet. You have to swipe to the end to see it though. 😜 and then double tap it. Obviously.

More color experimentation this week. What can I say? It’s a house full of 🤓

I have a request for a dark green so it’s been a work in progress. I got a military green on this attempt, so we are closer! And I’m inching toward my goal on my attempts at turquoise.

Not all macarons need to be bright and cheery and the color doesn’t always mean anything for the flavor. I filled these with pistachio and almond to get some classic favorites back into rotation.

Anyway…stacking. I don’t know why I do it. I guess I never got over that version of play 😆

Also, don’t forget, I’ll be at First Friday in Phoenixville next week (9/4). You can find me in front of Maricarmen Poley with Mayi! Grab a cozy craft and a treat. We’ll be out from 5-8pm.

Hopefully by next Friday I’ll be a little bit more adjusted to the back to school schedule and alive. Anyone else feel like they might be dying? It’s not even the early mornings, I did that every day of summer break. I’m barely hanging on. 🫠 Thank goodness for cookies and coffee. 😬

Playing with my food 🖤💚

Testing new colors and flavors and the best option to distiguish them is sometimes to mix and match.

I’ve been playing around with a new tea based filling but wanted to give my tasters a couple variations to compare.

The speckles on this new green option go well with the idea of it being a tea cookie, but it didn’t quite offer the depth of green I’m looking for. My attempts to darken it overwhelmed the green tones all together and I ended up with a midnight blue cookie. Seemed like the perfect time to try a new balsamic filling. More to come on that one as well, the food connoisseur (13yo) wants a bolder balsamic flavor with a burst of balsamic reduction in the middle.

Anyway…for this week, meet Emmanuel Macaron. A custom blend of tea with delicate floral and citrus notes. He won’t always be a mismatched midnight and green combo, but for this week, hems perfect as is. There are still a few available for pickup Saturday morning. Orders close Friday night.
