‘Tis the Season of Color Predictions! I usually start the new year with my own quiet predictions… and I am often pleasantly surprised to be on the same page as . But, this year I was a-blank. Really!?! I wanted a new purse (again!) and was so indifferent about the color that I asked for one for Christmas with only dimensions provided to my family. My front door has been the same color for 3 years! I have never stayed true to a single color for more than a couple years. I read what a few of the lauded Designers have predicted and well they seemed to be all over the place – just like me.

So, after musing over the past month, I am ready to make my own prediction and I'm placing bets on ! Here are the runner ups: (1) Robinhood Green, #21-18 on card 120, (2) Jasper Park, -5 on card 110. Here’s my real truth – I think emerald green is going to be the most popular *accent* color.

My prediction is that the most popular wall color is going to be a shade of white with just a hint of green. You know that color that compliments emerald green. So, I am placing bets on Woodland White, from their Classic Color Deck, #463 on card 053.

Okay, there is a New Color Wheel in Town! Yes, it has been reinvented and it's called the REAL COLOR WHEEL. How is this possible? Doesn't yellow and blue still make green, just like Ziploc says? The Real Color Wheel adds opaque, transparent and light colors. It was created by Don Jusko in 1996.

What I find interesting about it is that blue makes up most of the wheel. Yellow and Red make up a very narrow portion of the pie. On the old color wheel, blue is always opposite orange, but, with the Real Color Wheel, Blue is opposite yellow, red, orange and pink depending on the shade. No wonder blue is America's favorite, it has so many complements!

There are now 360 hues to choose from 36 rings. Which is your favorite?

I recently received a *NEW* fan deck from _Moore. It is called Color Stories. So-Different!!! Traditional paint formulas use black and grey tints while combining three pigments. Color Stories uses no black or greys and combines five to seven colors. The tones are luminous and magical.

My new favorite color is CSP-665 called Cool Breeze! Feels like the perfect romantic color for a shabby chic dining room OR interior stairway with lots of light. It would also be the perfect restful color for a baby's room.
