Adding to his coat today, a second darker red…loving this one so far!

Beginner tip of the day: Have multiple hoop sizes available. This entire project(well almost, lol) fits inside a 6 inch hoop, keeps me from having to reposition the hoop! Which is one part I find frustrating… lol

Newbie Tip of the Day: if you find a piece of your set up isn’t working for you anymore, switch it up!!! I just recently switched brand of hoops, to get the fabric to stop slipping thru the hoop while embroidering…

Todays starting point, I am determined to make some progress on this today! I see a few spots on this that need fixed… so that’s my goal for today!

Beginner tip of the day:
-Don’t embroider while exhausted. If it frustrates you, set it aside and go do something else for a bit! Or go to sleep…. Odds are it will look different to you later!

Working on some cross stitching today, a stitch along which is often referred to as a SAL… This one is by Cliffside Stitches SAL, link to their group there if interested in joining. I’m working on week two, and week 3 just came out Saturday!

I’m using 5 colors on 18 count Aida…each week has a border, I just really struggled with doing them in advance. So I’m doing them as I go!

Todays newbie advice:
Don’t get overwhelmed! Start over, and over again if you gotta! We’ve all been there, at one point or another…
