🔥 Unc-level rib science, but make it fun 🔥featuring Huck Family Maple

Alright friends, it’s time to turn your backyard into a smoke-filled masterpiece and mildly annoy your neighbors in the best way possible.

First things first: fire up that smoker and get it cruising at 225° like it’s got nowhere to be all day.

Now grab your rack of ribs. Yes, the whole situation.
Peel off that silver skin like it owes you money — paper towel trick = game changer. No mercy.

Pat those ribs dry (they didn’t come here to be soggy).

Slather on yellow mustard like you’re mad at it, but in a loving way.

Now hit it with your favorite seasoning. We’re loyal to Huck Family Maple over here 🍁
And remember: we don’t rub meat around here… we PAT. Respectfully.

👉 Smoker time:

* 75 minutes in
* Flip it (like you’re flipping your attitude on a Monday morning)
* Another 75 minutes of smoky glory

Now baste with sauce on both sides. Again, Huck Family Maple Sauce if you know what’s good for you.

Another hour on the smoker. Let it live its best life.

Some folks wrap their ribs…
We don’t. Because we believe in:
✨ smoke flavor
✨ bark perfection
✨ emotional damage from waiting too long for ribs

Check your temp — you’re aiming for 195–205° of pure happiness.

Not there yet? Add more sauce and keep going. Patience is the secret ingredient nobody wants to hear about.

When they finally hit temp:
🚨 Wrap in foil
🚨 Wrap in a towel like it’s going to therapy
🚨 Toss it in the oven to rest 30–60 minutes… keep that oven off, we are just hot boxing it

DO. NOT. SKIP. THE. REST.
That’s when the magic happens and the ribs go from “good” to “I need a moment of silence.”

Now go forth and smoke like you mean it. 🍖🔥

Sorry for late post—it’s Maker Monday!

Hi everyone, I’m Alexis of Alexis Marie Art!
I’m a 23-year-old professional pet and portrait artist from right here in Pine Grove!
My first experiences as an artist started as a young child. I was born with the talent of being able to draw realistic portraits from photo reference!
In middle school, I expanded my knowledge to oil and acrylic paint through lessons and even won awards for my work at the Governor’s Mansion and Game News Magazine.

During high school, due to the hit of the Covid Pandemic during my senior year, I lost a lot of artistic opportunities other classes had.
However, the story doesn’t end there...
I took this time to expand my skillset and start my own business, Alexis Marie Art!

Fast forward 5 years, I now work primarily in pet and portrait commissions, with my work in 100+ homes all over Northeastern PA... and of course at my little corner at The Collective, too!

My booth features a wide range of items...
From framed art prints, to stationery items like bookmarks and greeting cards, to holiday items like pet ornaments and cards, to one-of-a-kind hand painted items like cutting boards, pet portrait keychains, vases, and signs... my booth has it all!
You’ll just have to check it out and see it for yourself!

Looking for a custom project?— I’m here to help you with that, too! Whether it’s a pet, family, memorial, wedding, or child portrait— I’m your gal.
