We are Allie and Tori, twin 16 year old girls living in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. We are Juniors in High School and started the year with the exciting (…and scary!) task of finding a college... only two more years ‘til we get to leave home!! As you can imagine, our excitement was quickly squashed when we realized just how much it is going to cost for the two of us to go off to college at t
he same time... yikes mom and dad! Our parents think that we will work harder in college and appreciate our degree a lot more if we pay for it ourselves. Reality check! They also recommended that we start working hard now… they suggested we try to make enough money this year and next to pay for college without too many student loans. Well, after A LOT of discussion, we decided that some of it actually made sense. So, what were our options? We've got some time until we even pick our colleges (much less pay for tuition), so what about saving money now? We are pretty busy and want to enjoy high school, sports, and other activities as much as possible before heading into the real world…. So, we had to figure out something that would fit with our schedules, our need for cash, and also be fun. Then we realized that we were wearing the coolest answer ever; t-shirts! We are both pretty creative and have parents who taught us a bunch about graphic design… so, designing and creating custom t-shirts was a perfect fit. We’ve been doing it awhile for ourselves, but we weren't making money at it. So, why not start a t-shirt business to help pay for college?! Well, that's what we did. We came up with a business plan (with some [okay, maybe A LOT of] help from our parents), researched suppliers, and convinced our parents to be our investors. After getting a some equipment, setting up shop in the barn, Allie+Tori Apparel was born! The planning stage is over and we are officially open for business! We offer tons of awesome limited edition designs and even custom designs for our clients (YOU, hint hint! We are proud to print these designs on super-soft t-shirt brands such as Bella + Canvas, and Next Level t-shirts. Our client list is continuing to grow, and so is our college fund. What do you say?
