who wants a mini spart? 👀

🐾 EVER WANTED YOUR OWN MINI SPART?! 🐾

If you’ve ever stopped by the Doggie Bag, chances are you’ve met Spartacus. 😻 Our handsome Siamese store mascot cat has been part of the Doggie Bag family for many, many years... and at this point, we’re pretty sure he has a bigger fan club than the rest of us. 😂

Well, Spart fans, this one’s for you!

A little over a month ago, a Good Samaritan spotted a tied-up crate abandoned on the side of the road during a heat wave. Inside was a mama cat and her tiny kittens, all in desperate need of help.

Thanks to the quick action of their rescuer and lots of TLC from our SEKHS team, every single one survived. ❤️ And as if Mama hadn’t already been through enough, this incredible girl even welcomed an orphaned foster baby into her little family!

This picture was taken shortly after their arrival but now her babies are growing, thriving... and looking suspiciously like a whole bunch of Mini Sparts. 👀 Soooo, we're going to host:

Come meet these adorable kittens and find your potential new family member! The kittens will be available to foster-to-adopt, meaning their selected families will foster them until they are big enough to be altered and complete the adoption process.

So, if you’ve spent years telling Spart you’d take him home if we’d let you...this may be the closest you’re ever going to get. 😂🐾

great volunteer opportunity!

We’ve got artists, businesses, organizations, food, live music, and so much more planned for ArtWalk! We’re just missing one thing…

VOLUNTEERS! 🫶🏼

ArtWalk takes a lot of hands to make happen, and we need some humans to lend us theirs! You can opt in for an hour of volunteering or stay for the whole thing - either way, we’d love to have your help! 🎨

Our biggest needs every year are from 12:30 PM - 3 PM and 9 PM - 10 PM, but there are opportunities throughout the entire event! If you would like to volunteer, sign up here: https://pittsburgartscouncil.com/get-involved
