Is there such a thing as toxic positivity?
Maybe.
But I think we need to be careful not to make positivity itself the problem.
There is nothing toxic about choosing gratitude.
There is nothing toxic about lifting someone up.
About telling people you love them — and telling them why.
About noticing what is good, even when life isn’t perfect.
We can acknowledge pain without living in it.
We can tell the truth about what’s difficult and still choose to bring light into the room.
Because every time we encourage someone, appreciate someone, show kindness, or choose love over negativity, we contribute something different to the world.
That’s how we repair the world.
One person at a time.
One interaction at a time.
And maybe that’s how we raise the frequency of the world, too.
