Long overdue Canyon appreciation post 🫡

After his 6 year tenure at the shop, the time came for Canyon Cabrera to close this chapter. An official “Zeds retirement” if you will.. my initial reaction was “don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened” very cliche, but very real 😂

As far as work goes - Canyon, Steve, Chase and I are friends who connected over vintage clothing almost a decade ago. Since then we’ve spent the better part of that time navigating this industry for a living, while helping each other continue to have fun and remember why we do this to begin with. There have been plenty of ups and downs. We’ve all since become husbands, homeowners, and for myself and most recently Canyon, dads. On top of owning and operating two stores himself, this exciting news is ultimately what closed his chapter at Zeds. I truly couldn’t be happier about this and know he is going to be a great dad!

Long story short, I’ll forever be proud to call Canyon a friend. Tuesdays at the shop were always seamless thanks to his encyclopedic knowledge of vintage and excellent customer service 😂 but the times I hold closest were shifts spent having real conversations, lifting each other up and sharing in wanting to live life right. It is too short and I’m grateful to have lived so much of it together at 1931 East Carson Street. Cheers to this next chapter, love ya dude! 🍻
