On April 30, NCJW-Pittsburgh, along with our partners in the Allegheny Youth Vote Coalition, will be hosting hundreds of high school seniors at the very first Youth Vote Block Party.

High school students from around Allegheny County will gather Downtown to cast their first votes in the PA primary, and cheer their peers on in this important civic milestone. There will be music, food, educational and interactive activities, speakers, a resource fair, and more. We want these young people to know that what they're doing - entering into a lifetime of civic participation - is important, and appreciated.

This is no small effort, and to make the day a success for these young voters we need your help.

Do you have an hour or two to volunteer for the Block Party? Shifts run from 8am to 4pm - whether you can help for one shift or the whole day, we appreciate you! You can sign up here:

We are so excited that you are interested in volunteering for the Youth Vote Block Party on April 30! We want the Block Party to be a fun, engaging, and inspiring event for the hundreds of high school students we expect to attend from throughout Allegheny County. At the event, students who are regis...

These times are a lot, and we know that all we're facing, in the world, in our country, and in our communities is not abstract. It lives in our bodies and in our daily lives. Please join us on April 21 for an evening of conversation, care, and mindful engagement as, together, we tend gently and mindfully to these realities.

Repairing Together is an invitation, whether you are just getting involved, or are simply looking for a space to find community rooted in common values.

Repairing Together: Nurturing As Resistance
Tending Life in the Midst of All We’re Facing
Tuesday, April 21, 2026
6:15-8:15pm
Anathan House, 1620 Murray Ave 15217
Light dinner provided.
There is no fee to attend, though registration is required and can be done here: www.ncjwpgh.org/events

This gathering is a pause, not an escape. A place to return to ourselves, to one another, and to the practices that help us keep going and return again and again.

Together, we’ll slow the pace, ground our bodies, and reflect on what it means to return—again and again—to our values, our people, and our sense of purpose. Through guided conversation, gentle somatic practice, and collective learning, we’ll explore how to stay connected and responsive even when the world feels overwhelming. And we'll have an opportunity to engage in collective action to support our community.

This evening is about tending what sustains us so that our care, courage, and commitment can last.

Repairing Together gatherings are designed to:
• Center collective care and regulation
• Build trust and connection across community
• Support meaningful, sustainable action

Come as you are. Leave a little more rooted. All are welcome.

Calling all Momprenuers! After a hiatus, the Mom Owned Market is coming back this year!

We took some time off to re-evaluate and reimagine this event, and we are committed to making this year's Mom Owned Market bigger and better than ever. And we need the incredible makers and creators of Pittsburgh's mompreneur community to join us!

This year's event will take place outside Thriftique in Lawrenceville on June 13, 2026 from 11am-4pm. The market will coincide with Lawrenceville Pride weekend, so we are anticipating a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood that day. It should definitely be a celebratory, festive atmosphere, and we are super excited to be part of it!

If you aren’t familiar with Thriftique, it is the social enterprise of NCJW Pittsburgh. This is one of Pittsburgh’s best thrift stores and the sales from the store help us fund all the work we do, including putting on the Mom Owned Market.

We are accepting applications from now until midnight on March 16th, and will send out acceptance notifications in the week following.

Some things to consider:
🌟The market will be held outside Thriftique. While we do have limited covered space, this event will be rain or shine, so tents are highly encouraged. You can indicate on the application if you will need to set up in the covered area. While we cannot guarantee that everyone requesting that area will be accommodated, we will do our best to make it work.
⭐The fee to participate is $50. Please message us if this is a barrier to your participation.
🌟This event is open to vendors who identify as moms as this is a showcase of mom-owned businesses!
🌟MLM (multi level marketing) vendors will not be accepted.

Here's the link to apply: https://act.ncjwpgh.org/a/mom-owned-market-vendor-application-2026

Please share this post with any mom-owned businesses in the Pittsburgh area you'd like to see at the market!
