why does the second sock always take so much longer to finish? i can knit one sock in like 3 days but sock number two takes like a whole week! but like why though?

sock knitting brings me the most joy. don't get me wrong, I absolutely love knitting sweaters but there's just something so special about knit socks. who else is all about the sock knitting and puts everything else on the back burner?

happy sunday everyone! i finished my dipped tee last night and it is finally dry and off the blocking mat (my yoga mat) i was very nervous the gauge was going to change a lot when I blocked it but it fits perfectly. i like to think I'm good at checking gauge but if i am being honest i slack when it comes to a gauge swatch, who else is right there with me? 🙋🏼‍♀️

the mirror mirror socks are by far my best selling sock pattern on .ravelry i love seeing everyones variations to this pattern. i just get so happy every time i see someone create with my patterns, just warms my heart!

happy friday everyone 😊 i must admit i am very happy with my heel on these socks. i normally go for a short row heel so i don't have to deal with picking up stitches, but this pattern made it so simple for me! what is your favorite heel technique for socks?

i recieved these beautiful skiens yesterday and immediately caked them up for a sample knit for i will be knitting the rainbow pop socks from the by .lee.knits i can not wait to see these spring colors knit up!

happy thursday everyone and happy april 1st!! how has everyones week been? my has absolutely just flown by in a blur. i finished my daily jumper on tuesday, and have been wearing it all day and yesterday i started on my dipped tee for the third time due to me being indecisive about yarn. am i the only one who gets like half way through a project and decided to frog it? i just want all my project to be just right, so i actually enjoy them and wear them!

ah magic loop, how much i love you. magic loop is most definitely my favorite method for knitting small circumference in the round. it keeps my tension so consistent and even and to me that is much more important than the speed that 9 inch circulars allow. i almost always knit continental when using the magic loop as i find it easier to keep my tension and move the needles quicker. who else always picks magic loop over any other technique to knit in the round?

day two of featuring the lace work on the sample pink fuzz i knit over the last few months.
a couple tips for knitting lace: I always size down a needle or two on the left needle when knitting in the round to allow the lace to slide to the tip easily. I also keep the lace chart open at all times and mark off rows I have completed as I go. lastly, I read my knitting, after a handful of rows you should be able to anticipate in a way the next row and read your previous row and the stitches.

happy monday everyone! i hope you all had a relaxing and refreshing weekend and a good start to your week. this week i thought I'd share with everyone how i knit different stitches and techniques. for me sometimes it's throwing, sometimes it's picking, and other times it's continental, or a combo of all three. i do whatever feels the most comfortable to me in that moment. let me know below what your preferred way of knitting is!

these were my first ever dk weight socks and i think I i will always prefer dk over fi*****ng weight socks now. these literally took me a day and a half to make where a fi*****ng weight pair would take like 6 or so days. i do plan on writing up a pattern and i was even thinking of a series of pattern that are super simple and very beginner friendly. tester call soon to come! let me know below if you'd be interested!
