When we talk about craft, we often focus on the maker and the making process but the opportunity enters a family’s history has been one of the things that has felt so special all of these years but particularly as we wrap up this years wedding and prom season.

Here, Nick is donning a beautiful sentiment to his love for Lizzie with the incorporation of her dress alterations into the bow tie design. Making the finished piece and object further connecting these two on their wedding day.

Thank you Nick and Lizzie for trusting us with such delicate pieces (imaging the added pressure of having a toddler working along side the crew!) lol

returned to Knotzland a few weeks ago with that fresh dissertation glow for a piece to wear to their official ceremony.

There were two that he fell in love with so he called his wife on FaceTime for her input

Then I hear her giggle and say “Ohhh okayyy!”

Followed quickly with “ Yeah you won’t be the only one with a little razzle dazzle moment!” 😂😂😂

I would then learn that he’s starting his residency in the Fall at the VA here.

So glad we get to keep this beautiful young couple in our city!!

& grateful to have another generation of Knotzlanders in the making!!

A little climate-friendly ootd for the Chatham University Center for Womens Entrepreneurship’s ( ) 20th anniversary celebration.

4 years ago reached out with a concept to design custom bow ties using the unwanted jerseys from the various teams for the student volunteers to wear as they worked the show. I feels like yesterday, the feeling of seeing so many young people rocking pieces that were not only an example of school pride , but a collectible that would stay with them for years to come!!

We’ve worked with the .mothersguild each year since that feeling hasn’t gotten old yet!

This idea became practice for us to get an amazing opportunity sparked by to design custom bow ties for the to wear during their annual fundraiser, Night of Assists! Seeing a room full of Penguins and thee Sidney Crosby in a Knotzland bow tie was certainly a career highlight!!

It feels like all of the seeds come full circle as we have been invited to pieces down the red carpet for “From Our Runway to Yours” tomorrow at 3 pm At Point State Park Fountain!
