We're closing up shop.
With bittersweet feelings, we've decided to close up our shop in Midwest Vintage Company for the foreseeable future.
Our whole mission statement of "Morel Goods" was to bring recycled, ethical, and sustainable products to our area. With art made by real artists and no mass-produced merchandise. In 2023, sadly, it's getting hard to compete with Shein, Temu, and Amazon while balancing pricing and like-minded brands.
We always said we wouldn't compromise on our values and our ideas, and to that we still hold firm. To be a part of the "hustle couture" was never the intention. And when art no longer feels inspired, you end up with only 1 foot in.
A huge shout-out to Midwest Vintage Company who has let us start from a pop up tent, upgrade to a small booth, to the big booth space we have now. The amount of encouragement from Trisha, the owner, and her staff has been unreal. It's been so comfortable growing a business under the MWV home. ๐
We appreciate ALL of the different customers, followers, and funky people we've met while having a space. We've met some cool cats and the outpour of support and money being spent in our booths has been huge!! You know as long as we've had a booth (a few years now), we have rarely had to pay in. I can probably count on one hand the times we've had to pay in. AND we do not operate with a wholesale license. That's amazing.
This weekend we will be moving the majority out of our space, so get in this week while you can!
But don't worry, we're going back to being pop- up people at events and festivals and getting back to our roots. So, be on the lookout this fall for stands at events from us.
It's been real MWVC, thanks for taking a chance on our, "anything but farmhouse" mushroom booth. ๐งก๐ค
We'll be spending our days putting our energy in our first house now. And still taking commissions. ๐๐ก -Zach & Hae
