I think the ones we miss show up in the most beautiful and unexpected ways.

For me, I see Caroline in the butterflies that fly right by me, a song that reminds me of her, the way the sunlight hits just right, the heart-shaped rocks I always seem to find.

Sometimes it’s the smallest, most ordinary things that make me stop and smile because in those moments, I feel her so close to me.

I see her in so many beautiful things around me. And I know I always will.

And if you’re missing someone too, look around, my friends. You never know when the littlest reminder of them might show up in the most unexpected place. Something that makes you stop, smile, and feel them close to your heart. ❤️

It’s been a while, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself and share a little more of my story.

I’m Belinda, the person behind For Caroline Jewelry. I make jewelry for women who want more joy in their lives ~ in a world that moves so fast and expects us to move with it.

So much of who I am today has been shaped by my daughter, Caroline.

Caroline was funny, adventurous, colorful, and had this joy about her that you just couldn’t miss.

Loving Caroline with all my heart changed me forever. And losing her taught me just how precious life really is ~ and that so much of what keeps us busy can wait. The people we love and the time we get with them can’t.

Making jewelry started as a way for me to feel close to Caroline. But somewhere along the way, it became more than that.

It became my way of carrying her joy forward ~ a reminder to slow down long enough to savor all the joys… the little ones and the big ones.

And the more I shared this part of my story, the more I heard other women say the same thing… that life feels so fast, and we all just want to slow down and enjoy more of this one life we get to live.

Because the moments we rush past today can become the ones we’d give anything to have back.

They say daughters stay with us forever… but did you know this is literally true in the most beautiful way?

I just read that when you carry a baby girl, tiny cells from her move into your body and stay there for life. They’ve actually been found in a mother’s heart, brain, and even her bones. That is truly amazing!!

While I was reading this, I found myself crying and smiling at the same time.

I cried because I thought about how much I miss my sweet Caroline… and how she left us way too soon.

And then the smiles came… knowing that parts of her will always live on in me.

They say daughters stay with us forever… but did you know this is literally true in the most beautiful way?

I just read that when you carry a baby girl, tiny cells from her move into your body… and stay there for life. They’ve actually been found in a mother’s heart, brain, and even her bones.

While I was reading this, I found myself crying and smiling at the same time.

I cried because I thought about how much I miss my sweet Caroline… she left us way too soon.

And then the smiles came… knowing that parts of her will always remain anchored in me.
