I'll be there with my key chains and tchotchkes. If you've never been, Essex, N.Y., is a cute little village. Nice shops, a few nice places to eat, and a ferry dock right in the center of town. Come on down, support local and enjoy a holiday vibe.

I haven't posted to my Favorite Place on Earth page in ages; been busy at local craft fairs this season, now that they have been — safely and socially masked — opened again. I've been to Dannemora, the City of Plattsburgh's Crete Center, Saranac Lake at North Country Community College, and the weekend after Christmas, Dec. 4, I'll be at Christmas in Essex festivities with Brigid Downs (who was with me at Dannemora and the Crete Center) selling their prints of their original anime works. We'll then turn around and be at the Champlain Centre Dec. 5 beginning at noon in the old Dress Barn store at a fundraiser show for the American Cancer Society. Come out and support and buy local for Christmas.

Come one, come all to three weekends of local artisans selling and displaying their wares at the Strand Center downtown. Great time and place to do some Christmas shopping and buy local.

Patricia Downs will be there with her fiber arts and more; Brigid Downs will be there with her graphic arts and more; and I'll be there with your Favorite Place on Earth key chains, necklaces, pins, etc. We'll be there Oct. 3 and 10. The Strand Artisan Marketplace will take place Sept. 26, Oct. 3 and 10.
