Under His Wings Thrift Shop has gently-used clothes at super low prices. Our Baby Pantry provides "Baby Basics" to families on WIC.

Parents needing baby items can visit the pantry during its open hours. They will need to fill out a form on their first visit validating their need. In the months after that, they only need to come and get what they need.

Good morning from Under His Wings. A few more sips of Diet Coke and I think I am ready to kick the day into gear. Our Celebration Day for today is:

“Egg Toss Day” - today is a chance to enjoy the simple thrill of tossing eggs back and forth testing your coordination and teamwork. This day promotes simple, screen-free fun that brings people together. In an age of digital distraction, the day offers a chance to step outside, engage in physical activity and share laughter. The day also fosters valuable skills. Successful egg tossing demands hand-eye coordination, communication, and trust between partners. As the distance increases, participants must adjust their technique and woke as a team. (With it being so warm again today, your eggs could end up being hard boiled before you are done, LOL).

“National Coffee Ice Cream Day” - coffee flavored frozen desserts date back to 1869, when coffee was used in parfaits.coffee ice cream isn’t just about flavor—its a curl of memory, a wink of indulgence and a little jolt of energy all rolled into one. It’s the frozen version of that warm hit in the morning. Go to your favorite creamery today and treat yourself to a scoop or cone of coffee ice cream. You can also make it at home. Place a scoop of it in a cup and pour hot expresso over it and add whipped cream on top. However you do it, you will get that coffee jolt that tastes oh so good.

Good evening all. We hope everyone is ready for the weekend. Our Celebration Day for Saturday is:

“Bacon Day - start your day off with a classic bacon and eggs breakfast or try something new like bacon pancakes, or some maple bacon muffins or bacon-infused coffee. You can also explore different types of bacon such as thick-cut, maple glazed or smoked varieties. Bacon can be incorporated into sandwiches, salads, pasta or even desserts.

Hummingbird Day - there are over 300 species of hummingbirds throughout the world. The average hummingbird is between 2 to 5 inches in length making it the smallest bird in the world. Their iridescent mix of greens, blues, reds and purple give the appearance of the feathers changing colors in light. They flap their wings up to 50 times per second and has amazing flying capabilities. Their wings move in a figure eight pattern, allowing them to “hover” in mid air. They are migratory and travel long distances. The Rufus Hummingbird migrates about 4,000miles from North America to Central Mexico. On the Caribbean Island of Trinidad, the hummingbird is a symbol of spirituality and transformation.

Happy Friday, the weekend is here if you don’t have to work. I have to work weddings on Saturday and Sunday at the Venue. Gonna be a tough weekend. Our Celebration Day for Saturday is:
