I've been doing some roadside gathering 🌿. This is Sheep's Sorrel. Have you spotted these beautiful ruby clumps glowing in the sunlight along the road? In the past, I always collected dried seeds in August and September and used them to dye fabric. If you own a copy of my natural dye book, those samples were from dried seeds.

I'm teaching at Art Stays in Willits, CA, at Emandal Farm in three weeks, June 24-28, 2026. I've been scoping out what plants are available to gather. I also spotted some lovely St. John's Wort blooming. There are still a few spots available.

I've started working on June's Patreon pattern. These are some of the possible color choices I picked out. I added a pop of tulip to the front color combo, and the sample is fabulous. This month includes some simple embroidery on a small fabric case that's perfect for embroidery scissors and a few sewing notions or you can use it for other small items. It's big enough to fit a couple of Kaweco Sport fountain pens too 🥰 I'll share more soon.
