Welllll… this week it might be more like What’s Gramps Working On Wednesday? 😂

Granny’s new sewing space FINALLY has its pretty blue makeover! 🩵 And while Granny has been busy sewing, Gramps has been hard at work getting the inside ready for her.

There’s still plenty to do, but before long this little building will be ready to welcome all of Granny’s sewing customers. 🪡✂️

Granny J’s officially has business cards!

Remember that little something we had up our sleeve? Granny J’s new sewing shop is HERE!

Is she supposed to be fire engine red? Absolutely not. 😂 But we’re going to trust the process on this one! 🩵

She’s got a LONG way to go before she’s ready, including a much prettier coat of paint, but we can’t wait to show y’all the final product!

One thing about Granny… She's probably going to say, “Bring it over and let me look at it.” 😂🧵

She has had a little bit of everything come through her sewing room lately, and we love that she never quite knows what the next project is going to be!

Some things are a quick hem or repair, and some have her scratching her head for a minute, figuring out the best way to make it work. But that’s part of the fun. 🩵

So if you’ve got something sitting at home because you’re not quite sure if it can be fixed, altered, or made into something new… bring it to Granny and let her take a look!

I get asked pretty often, “Do you do ___?” and a lot of the time, the answer is yes! 😂

I do alterations and hemming, formal and bridesmaid dresses, memory bears and pillows, T-shirt quilts, baby items, bags and totes, and all kinds of other sewing projects.

And if you have something in mind that isn’t on that list, just ask me! I’m always happy to take a look and see if it’s something I can help with. 🩵

Bring me your too-long dresses, your favorite old T-shirts, your special pieces you can’t bear to part with, or just an idea you’ve been thinking about. I’d love to see what we can make out of it!

Happy Friday!

Granny has had several bridesmaid dresses from different weddings come across her sewing table lately, and we’ve noticed a trend… BLUE must be the color right now!

Dusty blue, light blue, navy blue, all the pretty blues, and Granny has been busy making sure each one is hemmed, altered and wedding day ready.
