Whether you want to add color to yarn, fabric and thread, or finished items (perfect for unique gifts), you’ll spend a fun day learning and experimenting. Brooke Sincere Sheep and I are co-hosting just one more dyeing workshop this year, and it’s a fun new topic!

Join us for Eco-Printing Yarn and Fabric on September 30th in Napa, CA.

You’ll print on yarn and fabric by direct application of flowers and other natural dyestuffs during a day full of interesting discussion and hands-on experience.

Attendees will each dye two skeins of yarn, two silk scarves, and either a cotton drawstring bag or quilting cotton for a small sewing project. Additional yarn will be available to purchase and dye.

Speckled yarn with natural dyes - come learn how at Lambtown Festival!

Through direct application of raw natural dyestuffs, also called eco-printing, you can create a speckled skein of yarn. Every student will explore this fun technique by dyeing a 4 ounce skein of Cormo wool yarn in class. We will also discuss how to mordant protein fibers during class time but the mordanting will not be done in class.
