I had a great time in St George, Utah this weekend at Clay Con West. Joan Miller, Jennifer Brooks and myself learned new techniques with Clay from some wonderful artists. We also got to see some beautiful mountains and pottery.

I am a new member of the Southwest Florida Potters Guild and one of the opportunities that offers is to display at the Punta Gorda History Park farmers markets every Sunday 9am-1pm. My display will feature my beachy pottery and ceramic bead jewelry. I will also bring my mini wheel on occasion to do demos. ☀️🌴♥️

Mount Dora was a cute town to visit for a weekend getaway. The tour of the lake on these catboats was the highlight for me. All the stores closed at 5pm and the restaurant choices were slim compared to the late nite shopping and restaurant choices we are used to in the keys. But it was great hanging out with Ryan and Jessica. Looking forward to exploring more places in the future!

Hi everyone! I am going through a rebranding of my business from Firefly Design Studio, to Shells Pottery. My new logo is below. The name is special because my parents always called me Shell, and you know I love to create beach themed pottery - so it's perfect! I have changed my Etsy shop, too. The new link is below. An easy way to put an underglaze transfer on the inside of the bowl is throw a plate form on the wheel, apply the transfer, then turn up the sides with a wooden rib.

These polymer clay, pearl and ceramic stretch bracelets are the first thing I have made in awhile. Studio time is pretty nonexistent right now as my Mom passed away on Saturday. She was my biggest fan and supporter and will be greatly missed.
