The Nimble Thimble Supplies for all of your sewing, knitting and crocheting needs. On May 1, 1995 The Nimble Thimble opened its doors for the first time.

The Nimble Thimble is located at 21 Putnam Avenue in Port Chester, handy for Westchester County and nearby Connecticut. We have been settled in here for the past eighteen years and have grown and grown. We now have over 3000 bolts of fabrics, Janome sewing machines, buttons, notions, quilting supplies. Four years ago, we opened The Yard Yard where you can find many different brands of yarns includ

ing Berroco, Dazzle, Farmhouse, Ella Rae, Sirdar, Plymouth, Sublime, Debbie Bliss and many more. If you are new to knitting and crochet, or want to improve your skills, we offer instructions in small classes. Our fabric selection is expanding all the time and you can fine patterns, buttons, notions all here under one roof. We also carry Janome sewing machines, the best on the market. These machines are very user friendly and easy to learn. Once you purchase a machine from The Nimble Thimble, we will teach you how to use it. Sewing machine repairs are done right on our premises. Our autumn class list is out now with several new upcoming sessions on it! You are welcome to call the shop to join or stop in. Welcome autumn and to The Nimble Thimble. Goodbye to summer and already into October. I have many new yarns that just came in from several yarn companies that I know you will love. Among them are bulkies and chunkies that everyone has been waiting for.

Just a thank you for keeping The Nimble Thimble alive. It's just about 30 years ago that I opened the doors and I am so lucky to have you keep supporting the shop. It's very sad to see so many businesses close. It's a difficult task but I am trying to stay open for all you great folks! Thank you once more!

Just to let you know about a few things happening at the shop. Lots of yarn is still on sale up to 50% off and our Janome sewing machines are at discounted pricing. When purchasing a sewing machine from The Nimble Thimble you will learn how to use it and also receive an extended warranty. We also have gift cards for last minute ideas.
Just to give you our hours for the next couple of weeks, We will be open next week from Tuesday-Thursday 9-2 and Friday 9-12 and re-open on Tuesday, January, 3, 2023!
