Years and years ago, perhaps around the beginning of time, I started making flannel pajamas as Christmas gifts for family and friends. In 1996 or 1997, once I was done with my gifts, I decided to make a pair for me and found that I did not have enough of any fabric to make them. Since they were just for me, I went ahead and made my pajama pants with one leg made from each fabric. My daughter-in-la
w saw them and said she wanted some like that. My daughter saw them and said she wanted some like that. On and on it went until they all wanted them. There was a problem though. Some of them had trouble telling the front from the back. I tried embroidering stars and hearts on the back waistband but they couldn't always see them. I embroidered "Back" on some fabric to make a tag but the fabric would fray. Something else was needed. I was too cheap to pay for real, pretty labels so I hit on the name tag labels. They were relatively inexpensive and order them I did. However, when I got them, they had put my name on the first line and "Back" on the second line. All I had wanted was the word "Back" but, either, the company I ordered from messed up or I messed up in the ordering process. But it was what it was so I used them. The labels have been replaced but, to be honest, they aren't much better! So, now you know how it all came about. Have fun in your lounge pants, make a statement and wear weird!
