Friday Funday

We’ve Talked Pop-Up Shops All Week… Now Let’s Build One!

All week we’ve been talking about **online pop-up shops**—how they can simplify group orders, give people more choices, and make branded merchandise programs easier to manage.

But now that Friday is here, let’s have a little fun with it.

Imagine we just handed YOU control of your company’s pop-up shop.

You get to choose the merchandise.

There’s only one rule…

YOU CAN ONLY PICK FIVE!

What’s making the store?

**1. Premium T-Shirt

**2. Quarter-Zip

**3. Embroidered Hat

**4. Insulated Tumbler

**5. Backpack

**6. Premium Hoodie

**7. Coffee Mug

**8. Custom Socks

**9. Golf Polo

**10. Tote Bag

**11. Fleece Vest

**12. Tech Organizer

No sneaking in a sixth item...

Our picks?

2 + 3 + 4 + 6 + 9

Now it’s your turn.

Which FIVE are going into your online pop-up shop?

Bonus question: What product are we missing from the list?

Throwback Thursday

Have You Ever Volunteered to Handle the Shirt Order…and Immediately Regretted It?

Have you ever been "the person" responsible for collecting everyone's apparel order?

If you have, you probably know where this story is going.

Imagine a school organization selling spirit wear to families.

In the past, volunteers collected paper forms, tracked payments, entered sizes into spreadsheets, answered questions, and tried to decipher handwriting that may or may not have said "Adult Medium."

Then came distribution day.

Boxes everywhere.

Names everywhere.

And somehow someone's order was always missing.

For their next campaign, they switched to an online pop-up shop.

Families received a link, selected their merchandise, chose their sizes, and placed their own orders online.

The organization still got great-looking spirit wear.

Families got more choices.

And the volunteers?

They got their evenings back.

That's what made the program successful. The products were important—but removing friction from the buying experience was just as valuable.

Great promotional programs should work for the people receiving the products AND the people managing the program.

Have you ever been responsible for organizing a large group apparel order? How did it go?

Spotlight Wednesday!

Solution Spotlight: Your Own Online Pop-Up Shop

This week's Spotlight isn't one product.

It's an easier way to offer LOTS of them!!

Meet the **Online Pop-Up Shop**.

We create a temporary branded online store featuring a curated selection of apparel and merchandise for your organization.

You share the store with your audience.

They shop.

They choose their products and sizes.

They place their orders.

And you don't have to stand in the hallway collecting order forms.

Pop-up shops can be a great solution for:

**Schools & Teams** — Spirit wear without guessing quantities

**Companies** — Employee apparel and special events

**Nonprofits** — Campaign merchandise and fundraising

**Booster Clubs** — Give families multiple ways to show their support

**Events** — Reunions, tournaments, conferences and celebrations

Creative idea: Instead of offering merchandise year-round, create limited-edition seasonal drops—**Fall Collection, Pink Out, Homecoming, Holiday Shop, Championship Gear**—and keep each store open for a defined ordering period.

It creates excitement while keeping the collection fresh.

Better yet, everyone gets to choose something they'll actually want to wear.

Hot Topic Tuesday

Are Group Apparel Orders Finally Changing?

Remember the old-school group T-shirt order?

Someone creates a spreadsheet.

Someone collects everyone's size.

Someone forgets to pay.

Someone changes their size.

Someone orders after the deadline.

Then 12 boxes arrive and someone has to figure out who gets what.

Technology is changing that experience.

Online pop-up shops allow organizations to create a curated collection of branded apparel and merchandise that employees, parents, students, supporters, or customers can shop online.

Instead of one person managing every individual order, shoppers can select their own products, sizes, and quantities and place their orders directly through the store.

It's especially useful for:

**Company apparel
**School spirit wear
**Teams and booster clubs
**Nonprofit campaigns
**Events and reunions
**Employee merchandise

But here's the interesting part:

Beyond convenience, online stores also give people **choices**.

Rather than assuming everyone wants the same T-shirt, you can offer a small collection and let people choose what they'll actually wear.

QUESTION: Would you rather receive ONE predetermined company shirt or choose YOUR favorite item from a company store?

Motivation Monday!!

Make It Easy for People to Support Your Brand with a Pop Up Shop!

Sometimes growth isn't about doing MORE.

It's about making things EASIER.

Easier for employees to participate.

Easier for parents to order spirit wear.

Easier for supporters to represent an organization they care about.

Easier for customers to connect with your brand.

And easier for the person behind the scenes who normally has to collect sizes, chase payments, organize spreadsheets, sort boxes, and distribute everyone's orders.

That's one of the reasons we're such big believers in simplifying the experience whenever possible.

When you remove unnecessary steps, people are more likely to participate—and the people organizing everything get some valuable time back.

Whether it's an online pop-up shop, an employee appreciation program, a school fundraiser, or your next company event, start by asking:

How can we make this easier for everyone involved?

Sometimes the best customer experience isn't adding something new.

It's removing the headaches and the painpoints.

What's ONE process in your organization you wish could be easier?

Throwback Thursday

What's the most creative Halloween promotion you've ever seen?

Here's one idea we love.

Imagine a company holding an employee Halloween celebration but wanting to do something different from the usual candy and costume contest.

Instead of buying traditional giveaways, they create limited-edition Halloween T-shirts featuring a fun seasonal twist on their company branding.

But there's a catch:

Employees receive the shirts a week before Halloween and are challenged to incorporate them into their costumes.

Suddenly the shirts aren't just giveaways.

They're part of superheroes, zombies, rock stars, athletes, mad scientists and some costumes nobody can quite explain.

On Halloween, everyone votes for their favorites and the company shares photos across social media.

The result?

Employees participate. People laugh. Social content happens naturally. And everyone leaves with a shirt connected to a fun memory.

That's the difference between handing someone a promotional product and creating an experience around it!!

Now we want to hear from you:

What's the most memorable Halloween activity your workplace, school, or organization has ever done?

Spotlight Wednesday

Sometimes the simplest promotional products create the best opportunities.

Take the classic Halloween treat bag.

Instead of another disposable plastic bag, imagine giving employees, customers, students, or event guests a **reusable branded tote** they can continue using long after Halloween.

Fill it with candy and you've got a treat.

Add a few thoughtfully selected promotional items and you've created an experience.

** Halloween-themed socks
** Mini flashlight
** Reusable drinkware
** Custom candy
** Hand sanitizer
** Branded T-shirt
** Fun pens or stationery

For schools and nonprofits, these can work beautifully for Trunk-or-Treat events and community festivals.

For businesses, create a **ā€œNo Tricks, Just Treatsā€ employee appreciation bag** and surprise your team one Friday in October.

You can even add QR codes leading to a contest, special message, fundraiser, or Halloween playlist.

The key isn't filling the bag with the most products.

**It's choosing a few things your audience will actually enjoy.**

And that's usually what separates memorable promotional merchandise from just more "stuff."

Hot Topic Tuesday

Halloween has quietly become a pretty great opportunity for organizations to connect with employees and customers.

And we're not just talking about putting a bowl of candy at the front desk...

Companies are getting more creative with seasonal experiences:

** Employee Halloween kits
** Limited-edition Halloween apparel
** Branded treat bags
** Seasonal drinkware
** Office decorating contests
** Costume competitions
** School and community events
** Customer appreciation surprises

What makes Halloween interesting from a branding perspective is that it gives organizations permission to loosen up a little.

Your branding can be playful.

Your social content can be fun.

Your employees can participate.

And promotional products can become part of an experience instead of simply another giveaway.

Imagine creating a limited-edition Halloween version of your company logo and using it on shirts or merchandise available only during October.

Suddenly, you've created something people can't get year-round—and that exclusivity makes it more interesting.

**HOT TOPIC QUESTION:**

Would you wear a limited-edition Halloween version of your company's branded apparel?

YES or NO ?
