Nepal has experienced catastrophic flash flooding due to the breakup of a glacier. Thousands are missing and the destruction is widespread. The following is a reply, from one my friends there, to my query as to the best place to send donations to help with the relief effort. Please give if you are able:

On Wednesday morning, the music world lost another great musician to cancer and I lost a friend. Terry “Buffalo” Ware was the go to sideman for 60 years for Americana artists. He was one of the hardest working musicians I have encountered. He knew how to listen, when to play, and when not to play. Buffalo had the respect of not only his peers, but his heroes as well, being invited on stage by many of them.

More importantly, he was a man of character, humility and grace. There was not a pretentious bone in his body and he was always grateful for and cognizant of his good fortune: married for decades to the love of his life, a lifetime doing what he loved, and spreading that love.
