I had had a lot of fun with this kitchen Island! It is not a color (Dixie Belle’s Evergreen Chalk paint) I would have chosen, but this piece has opened my eyes to how beautiful it really is.

I got the final approval from my client so I sealed it tonight and will be adding the hardware to it tomorrow.

I've been working with leaner boards for a while, and recently, I dusted one off and gave it a fresh coat of paint in Dixie Belle's Baja Gray Silk.

After adding stencil letters and the phrase 'welcome', I initially thought it was too ordinary, but then I experimented with floral transfers and discovered a unique twist. The combination of colors and patterns turned out beautifully, and I'm excited to refine the process and create more pieces like it.

Does anyone think this project would make for a fun class? I'm looking forward to start scheduling classes for this gall and winter and exploring new creative possibilities.

With creativity and elbow grease, I transformed this stunning wood dresser into a masterpiece for my grand baby's nursery, unlocking its full potential with Dixie Belle's Thicket chalk paint and Anchor chalk paint. By applying the wallpaper brush technique, I skillfully revealed hints of the original dark brown stain, infusing the top with a unique character.
