Please come!!
Oof… doing my first art show in SEVENTEEN years!
And I invited architect Bob Oshatz to show this month with me. If you’re not familiar with his work- (I knew his work from houses in LA) his style is organic modern, and very sculptural.
Bob will be there for you to meet and chat up as well. He’s incredibly humble for someone so accomplished.
Here’s his website: http://www.oshatz.com
I’m always jumping back and forth between so many projects, and with our last recession- I really dove into Urchin, which was my main focus for so many years… well- this last ? Summer? When I had my BIG estate sale- I had a few old art pieces in my storage here that I included in the sale… and came thru and asked if I’d be interested in showing… and I said I used to show years ago with and she asked if I’d be interested in showing at , (which is one of my fave stores)… and the answer to that was a resounding Hell yes!
So- set a show up to open last winter- and got…….(wait for it) …………frozen shoulder (too much downward dog ) and had to push it out to…… July.
And then I met Bob when I styled/furnishedshed his project-in-work, on Skyline for an architectural lecture, and was smitten’ and then visited his own home on the cliffs of Dunthorpe and saw all his models and thought they were just stunning. And thought YOU should see them too!
So: We’re installing in the next couple days… but thats the 4th (when we should all be off celebrating end times or something) so we have our official opening the 12th! From 6-9 pm.
There’ll be some bubbly, and non-bubbly and maybe some other light nibbles if I can get it together, and hopefully you gets to see some friends there, check out the amazing giant warehouse full of things youll want to take home- OH! And some art and architecture as well!!!
(It’s kinda a perfect combo really… Bob can design you a home- Urbanite can furnish it, and I happen to know where you could get some art for it… 😉🙌)
