The Bag Lady Making something out of nothing, turning the bland into beautiful and giving new life to what would otherwise be cast aside. (Grocery bags).

My “upcycled” cards are hand made from whatever materials I have on hand. I use either recycled and/or FSC certified card stock and envelopes which I purchase new, and I cut my designs from post consumer paper bags. No two cards are the same and designs will change as I come up with new ideas. I have called myself “the Bag Lady” unflattering as it may sound, but it has both personal significance (

see my blog if you want to know more) and as I use paper bags for my cards. My goals at the moment are to give myself permission to be creative, feel productive and ultimately sell locally. I would love to network with other creative and talented folks and small businesses using Facebook and through my blog (which is under construction).

Finally my brother Dallas TV show is comming to BBC America!!! I dont watch much on BBC America normaly but I shall be glued and very proud tomorrow night. Its on quite late so set your DVR as it is one that the kids will enjoy...

Lavender is one of my favorite things.This Flax seed and lavender heat pack is perfect for soothing away the stress, aches and pains of a busy day. I was given one recently as a gift and loved it so I decided to try and make a few myself to give as gifts. It contains aprox 3lb of flax seed and essential lavender oil for a little added aroma therapy. Microwave for 2-3 minutes and apply to any part of your body, its long enough to go around you sholders, for an instant stress reducer! Outer cover is super soft, removable and washable.

Busy day figuring out my new blog and writing my first post. Still working on it but thats half the fun. Got crafty again today and made some envelopes fom QFC bags. They are a little rough but that's the point. I have some little panel cards that fit perfectly so I decided to package them with strips of beautiful hand made paper. I like them. see photos.
