Announcement: It is with great sadness that we share the news that the founder of Aurora Silk, Cheryl Kolander passed away on July 11th, 2026. She owned and operated Aurora Silk for over 50 years providing the best natural fabrics, yarns, threads and dyes from all over the world and striving to help impoverished people in various countries to develop sustainable sources of income through her non-profit Mama D.O.C. Textiles, natural fibers, natural dyes and helping others was her life's passion. She will be missed by all.
Aurora Silk will continue on under the guidance of her son, Frank, who has played a part of the business for his whole life and by Cheryl's long time and faithful employee Phoebe. They will strive to continue to ensure quality products and service. Please bear with us during this transitional phase. Thank you very much for your patronage and understanding.
