Morph Knitwear is designed and created by designer Angela Thornton in so-called Portland, Oregon. Each piece is handcrafted to last a lifetime, and invites the wearer into a deeper relationship with their clothing and the person who made it. I acknowledge that the land on which Morph Knitwear operates is the traditional and unceded territory of Chinook, Clackamas and Cowlitz peoples. As a descenda

nt of settler-colonists I strive to unsettle myself by honoring the land, water, animals, & indigenous people in this region and everywhere by supporting their work toward liberty and self determination.

✨LETS GET THEM TO 25K BY TOMORROW NIGHT✨

Eman and her family are from G a z a city but displaced in R a f a h, which is under b0mbardment *right now*. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: we failed to stop this g3noc1de and so we owe it to the people who are trying to escape to do all we can to aid them!

Eman is Haneen and Mohammed’s niece! Let’s get these brilliant beautiful kids and their families out of harm’s way ok?!

✨ CAN WE GET THEM TO 10k TODAY?! ✨

Please share widely! Rafah is no longer a “green zone”, and this family is desperate to find safety. We in the west have failed spectacularly to stop this genocide from happening, so we owe the people who are choosing to flee our best efforts to help get them to safety.

Haneen is a teacher, Mohammed a nurse, and they are raising two brave and compassionate children - Mira and Kenan. When we say things like “all children are our children” this means showing up for Mira and Kenan with as much urgency as if they truly were our own children, trapped in a war zone, having to pay 5k per person to escape a death camp.

🔗 to share is in b10, but also at tinyurl.com/haneenandfamily

In times of collapse it becomes clear how resilient relationships and the webs we weave between each other are the only constants we can rely upon. This is true for our human relationships, but it’s also true for our relationships with our plant kin. We have a vast world of interconnectedness we can explore with our plant relations, who have so much to teach us. A gentle way to begin or deepen relationship with plants is with herbal body oils - we honor ourselves by applying these to our skin, and we honor the plants as we work with them to infuse the oils.

Join me May 6th at to learn how to craft herbal body oils using my favorite methods, connect with community, and begin or deepen your relationship with some of our friendly & powerful plant kin!

I think it might be spring 🌱

I’ve read a couple good books lately: The End of Policing by Alex S. Vitale (ty for recommending it), and Behind You is The Sea by Susan Muaddi Darraj. I think they’re both necessary. The sun being out the past several days has restored so much of my resilience, so has moving my body everyday.

Freedom as a constant struggle is a lot of hard work and I hope we can all take moments to do the things that restore our resilience for the fight. Or else how tf can we keep going?

Speaking of keeping going: what are you doing today to resist the empire of death that we exist within? A few ideas: wear a mask when you’re in public, print and distribute zine in your local free libraries/bulletin boards, tattoo your politics on your body (jk…maybe?), give some cash to someone panhandling, plant some native seeds somewhere decimated by industry, talk about p a l e s t i n e with your family, advocate for clean air in your school/workplace, pay a “land tax” to the indigenous people who’s land you’re living on, and etc.

My strike activity for today was spending hours (I am not good at canva ok!) putting together this flyer to print & put on car windows. Thanks to ’s post about how protesters in Iran disseminated information during government shutdowns of the internet for inspiration. Last slide is by .co and, if I can figure out ~printing~ it will be printed on one side of the flyer, my pr0poganda on the other. Catch me at the public library tomorrow y’all.

I set myself a goal of reading 100 books this year (I did not read 100 books. I read 77 and 1/2 books). These are the 8 I found most important, most touching, most my favorite.

Books are such powerful conduits, I owe so much of myself to what I’ve read in books by Black feminists, by Palestinian scholars, by indigenous women of Turtle Island, by qu**rs all over the world.

Let your books radicalize you, maybe one or two of these will awaken things in you that you did not know were sleeping, too.

Free Palestine. Land Back. Abolish prisons. Liberation.

For some reason I keep thinking about a snarky comment someone made in an article somewhere about the first weeks of protest over the g3nocide in g@z@ - they said something like “I can’t believe the hypocrisy of these people chanting from the river to the sea while they’re on occupied Mohawk land” (this was in NY).

And, while I think we are all clear on this here, I just gotta say it: when I chant “from the river to the sea” I ALSO am saying “land back, EVERYWHERE!” The two struggles are intimately connected and empire is at the root.

I walked up to the top of Multnomah (máɬnumax̣) falls last week and looked out at The Big River (wímaɬ, colonized name columbia), and dreamed of the day it is un-dammed, and dreamed of the day that I get to pay my taxes to the Chinook people, and dreamed of the day that the “US” is no more. I am a settler (descended from settlers), and as such, I feel it’s my responsibility to work to end occupation - even if the reparations to be paid are personally costly.

That’s it. Land back. Free Palestine.

C-vid & 🍉 are interconnected. The pan demic is not over, the g-nocide is ongoing. I wrote slide 2 a couple weeks ago on my stories, so the numbers aren’t accurate anymore, but this is what I woke up thinking about. Mask up. Take care of each other. Don’t normalize mass death & disablement, by any means, please.

Hi & happy day of solidarity with Palestine. Wearing a keffiyeh is an easy way to protect and be in solidarity with the Palestinian diaspora as well as those still in Palestine. Another thing: call for a permanent ceasefire including in the West Bank and then for the complete liberation of Palestine from Israel’s illegal occupation. Ok? Ok.
